Aon Reinsurance Solutions hires Pett from Nephila in Bermuda

Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions division has announced the hire of Stephen Pett in Bermuda, who joins the broker from his most recent position with insurance-linked securities (ILS) fund manager Nephila Capital.

Pett joins Aon as a Vice President and broker and will focus on instruments such as industry loss warranties (ILW’s) other specialty reinsurance products.

Pett’s career has included stints at Bermuda based reinsurance firms Ariel Re, Flagstone Re, Montpelier Re and Endurance.

His role at Nephila Capital saw him working as a senior member of the ILS managers’ underwriting team since he joined the firm in January 2016.

He has experience in global property catastrophe reinsurance underwriting and industry loss warranty (ILW) trading, as well as assisting in underwriting planning, deal approval, and management of teams.

At Aon, Pett will report to Tony Fox, Chairman and CEO, Bermuda, for Reinsurance Solutions.
