GC Securities hires Carlo Magnani from Willis Re Securities

GC Securities has added a new hire in Carlo Magnani, who joins the reinsurance capital markets focused company from his most recent role at rival Willis Towers Watson.

Magnani joins GC Securities in its London office and will have a focus on capital markets backed reinsurance solutions including insurance-linked securities (ILS), we understand.

GC Securities is the capital markets and insurance-linked securities (ILS) focused unit of reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter, part of the Marsh & McLennan universe.

Magnani joined Willis Towers Watson in 2012, working as an analyst in the brokers ILS focused Willis Capital Markets & Advisory unit as it was called at the time.

Having now spent more than 8 years at Willis Towers Watson, most recently as a Vice President in the Willis Re Securities capital markets and ILS focused division, Magnani now moves to rival Guy Carpenter to bolster its London market focused ILS team.

Magnani joined GC Securities in London as a Vice President this month.
