Guy Carpenter hires Paul Miller from Aon to key Property Cat role

Reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter has announced a key hire to its Property Catastrophe team, taking Paul Miller from rival Aon to lead property cat broking for UK, Global Specialties and key global clients.

Paul Miller was most recently Head of International Catastrophe Management at Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions division.

He will lead Guy Carpenter’s Property Catastrophe value proposition for UK, Global Specialties and key global clients, as from September 2021.

His focus will be on delivering best-in-class property catastrophe reinsurance solutions to clients and prospects, as well as working with broking and analytics teams providing expertise on key global accounts.

Miller will report to Kevin Fisher, Chairman of Guy Carpenter UK in the role.

Miller’s career began as an underwriting assistant at Lennox Underwriting, before he transitioned into the analytics space as a Catastrophe Model Developer at Greig Fester and joined broking house Aon in 1995.

He has over 30 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry, gained working in the UK and the Netherlands.
