This Year: Resolve to be Better Informed

It’s that time of the year when people reflect on the past year and make resolutions or goals for the coming new year. Many of this new year’s resolutions are about being healthier. 2020 was a rough year for those who contracted COVID-19. It was also tough for those who use a public or membership gym to stay fit and active. With the introduction of a COVID-19 vaccine, that is changing. Healthy is a good resolution, but maybe 2021 is really the year to be better informed. Standard business practices are changing faster than ever thanks to the pandemic, and more business is conducted digitally. Those changes tend to leave many business professionals feeling out of the loop on current regulations and safety requirements.

Practical Approaches to California Proposition 65 Testing

Practical Approaches to California Proposition 65 Testing

The next upcoming NSL Analytical Services webinar is about Practical Approaches to California Proposition 65 Testing. It airs January 14, 2021, at 2:00 pm EST. You can register by clicking this link. California’s Proposition 65 restricts nearly 1,000 materials. That can make compliance an overwhelming chose, but there are practical tips that can help clarify what Proposition 65 actually requires. For instance, did you know that Proposition 65 does not require businesses to prove that their products do not contain any of the 1,000 restricted materials? The Tech Talk Prop 65 webinar helps businesses determine a fair solution for Prop 65 compliance.

Please note that “Testing done by NSL for purposes of [compliance with] California’s Proposition 65 (Prop 65) requirements will be based on information and test limits currently available to the public at the time of testing. NSL testing and analysis will show the percentage of existence and/or the absence of certain compounds or elements, but NSL cannot certify compliance with Prop 65 law. NSL test results do not alleviate customer’s responsibility for Prop 65 labeling, if necessary.”

In other words, NSL Analytical Services test provided product samples and provide your firm with the results of those tests. Your firm can use the test results to make product safety decisions, but it still needs to comply with Proposition 65. Your product labeling will still need to follow Proposition 65 requirements. This is where the Tech Talk: Practical Approaches to California Proposition 65 will help you clarify Proposition 65 requirements. NSL Analytical Services is a trusted Materials testing laboratory with branches located in the greater Cleveland, Ohio area.
