Grand Master Mark Shuey Elevated to Chairman Emeritus of Cane Masters

After an amazing career in martial arts that has spanned five decades, GM Mark Shuey, the founder of Cane Masters and 12 time World Champion, has been elevated to the position of Chairman Emeritus of the new Cane Masters LLC. In this position he will be devoting his full time efforts to the Training Division (American Cane System, Cane Fu, Cane Ja, Cane Chi, Silver Dragons, and YogaPlay.) Grandmaster Shuey will also be designing a series of innovative signature canes that will be released periodically.

Replacing GM Shuey as Master Cane Maker and Designer, and the new president of Cane Masters LLC, will be H Keith Melton. The company’s new headquarters and expanded cane production facility, is in Boca Raton, FL. GM Shuey and Melton will be working together to grow the cane’s popularity in martial arts, personal protection, mobility, fitness and collecting.

H Keith Melton is a US Naval Academy graduate (class of 1966) who earned his 1st degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do while serving alongside the Korean Marines in Vietnam in 1968.
